Butterfly Cake
Buttercream cake with edible butterflies for Sweet 16 party. I don't create many square cakes, so this was a pleasure. The quincenera girl preferred buttercream to fondant. I think the color palette of white, yellow, and green is very refreshing, especially for a spring or summer event. The butterflies are made of rice paper and add that attitude of "nature taking over" that I really love. This was a chocolate fudge cake with strawberry buttercream filling.
